Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026
Information we collect
KERCA may collect account and contact information, service requests, messages, photographs, approximate service location, professional credentials, transaction records, device and notification information, and records of how the service is used.
Customer profiles and saved addresses
Customers may optionally save a profile photo, full street address, apartment or unit, city, state, ZIP code and arrival directions. A saved address is private to the account and is shared in a conversation only when the customer chooses to send it. Customers may replace or remove their photo and saved address in their profile.
Customer app and website analytics
The KERCA Customer app has no subscription fee and does not offer in-app purchases or collect payments. Google advertising and analytics tags are disabled on customer app, account, conversation, estimate, invoice and booking screens. The public marketing website may use Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure visits and advertising conversions. Customer app functionality does not require advertising tracking permission.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, match customers with professionals, deliver requests and messages, process payments, verify professionals, prevent fraud, provide support, comply with law and improve KERCA.
When information is shared
Customer contact and project information is shared with the professionals selected for a request. We also use service providers for hosting, authentication, payments, communications, background checks and support. We do not sell personal information for money.
Purpose limits for contact information
A Professional may use customer contact information only to respond to the selected service request, perform an agreed job, provide legitimate support, keep required business records, or comply with law. It may not be sold, published, used for unrelated marketing, or shared with an undisclosed worker except as necessary for the job and with appropriate safeguards.
Payments and verification
Payment providers process financial information under their own privacy terms. Professional verification may require identity, licensing, insurance and background-check providers. When a professional uploads an identity-document photo, KERCA may use a secure artificial-intelligence service provider to read only the visible holder name and compare it with the name provided in the professional profile. This preliminary comparison does not determine authenticity and does not approve or reject a professional. A KERCA administrator may manually approve a profile and activate its KERCA badge. Document, insurance, license and background-check statements are displayed separately only when supported by completed records.
Text messages and notifications
If you provide consent, KERCA may send operational messages about your account, service requests, appointments, payments, safety, and support. KERCA does not use this consent to send advertising messages. We limit duplicate alerts for the same event. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop SMS and HELP for help.
Retention and deletion
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. You may initiate account deletion from account settings. Some transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute and legal records may be retained where required or reasonably necessary.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your state, you may request access, correction or deletion and may appeal certain privacy decisions. You may also change notification permissions on your device and withdraw messaging consent at any time. Identity, background-check, licensing, insurance, safety, fraud, payment and dispute records may be retained or restricted from ordinary access when disclosure would violate law, expose another person, defeat a security control, or interfere with an investigation.
Legal requests and safety
KERCA may preserve and disclose information when required by valid legal process or when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect a person from serious harm, enforce marketplace rules, or establish or defend legal claims. KERCA does not promise that identity, credential or background information is complete, current or error-free.
Security and children
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. KERCA is not directed to children under 13.
